About Cirrus & This Offer

Enterprise Content Services Without the Enterprise Overhead

Cirrus File Server is a Content Services Platform built for organisations that need serious document management capability without the complexity, cost, or cloud dependency of tier-one ECM vendors. At its core, Cirrus is a file server — but one that has been transformed into a complete content services environment: version-controlled document storage, automated capture and classification, configurable workflow automation, retention and records governance, full-text search, and open REST APIs that connect to the systems your business already runs on.

For TWAIN Innovation Cloud participants, Cirrus is particularly compelling because it was designed from the ground up with native TWAIN scanning integration. Documents scanned through TWAIN-compatible hardware are captured, classified, indexed, and delivered directly into Cirrus workflows without manual file handling, with metadata extracted automatically and retention policies applied at ingestion time.

The TIC trial gives participants hands-on access to the complete Cirrus Content Services Platform — deployed in your environment or in a Cirrus-hosted trial instance — with guided onboarding from the Cirrus team. No per-user licensing, no mandatory cloud subscription, and no artificial feature limits during the trial period.

Platform Architecture
Flexible by Design — Your Infrastructure, Your Rules
Cirrus runs where you need it to run. On-premise deployment keeps your documents on your servers, inside your network perimeter, fully within your security and compliance posture. Cloud deployment provides a managed, scalable environment with no infrastructure overhead. Hybrid configurations let regulated content stay on-premise while less sensitive workflows use cloud capacity.
🏢
On-Premise
Full control, your hardware, your network. Ideal for regulated industries, government, and organisations with strict data sovereignty requirements.
☁️
Cloud Hosted
Managed infrastructure, rapid deployment, automatic updates. No servers to maintain. Suitable for organisations that want full capability without IT overhead.
🔀
Hybrid
Sensitive records on-premise; collaboration and workflow in the cloud. Cirrus supports hybrid deployments natively — one platform, two environments.
🔗
API-First
Every capability exposed through REST APIs. Build custom frontends, mobile applications, or embed Cirrus functionality into your own line-of-business systems.

Native TWAIN Scanning Integration — Scan Once, Land Correctly
Cirrus was built to receive scanned documents as a first-class input — not an afterthought. TWAIN-compatible scanners connect directly to Cirrus capture workflows, delivering scanned pages through automatic classification, OCR, metadata extraction, and barcode separation before routing to the correct folder, workflow, or recipient. For TWAIN Innovation Cloud participants building end-to-end scan-to-content workflows, Cirrus provides the destination platform that makes those documents actionable the moment they leave the scanner glass.

What's Included in the TIC Trial
  • Full Content Services Platform trial — complete access to all modules: Document Repository, Intelligent Capture, Workflow Automation, Records Management, Full-Text Search, and REST API, with no feature restrictions during the trial period.
  • TWAIN scanning integration setup — guided configuration connecting your TWAIN-compatible scanners or MFPs to Cirrus capture workflows, including classification rules, OCR configuration, and metadata extraction for your document types.
  • Workflow configuration session — a Cirrus specialist will work with you to design and configure an approval or routing workflow representative of your actual business process, so your trial reflects real-world operation from day one.
  • Records and retention configuration — initial setup of document categories, retention schedules, and governance rules aligned to your regulatory or policy requirements.
  • Choice of deployment mode — trial in a Cirrus-hosted cloud environment for instant access, or deploy on your own infrastructure if on-premise evaluation is required. Both options are available to TIC participants.
  • REST API access and developer documentation — full API access and documentation for building integrations between Cirrus and your existing line-of-business systems, ERP, CRM, or TWAIN Direct workflows.
  • Onboarding session with Cirrus engineers — a dedicated session covering platform architecture, module configuration, user administration, search index setup, and integration patterns relevant to your use case.
  • No per-user licensing during trial — add as many users as needed to evaluate the platform properly. Trial licensing is unrestricted so your team can assess the real-world experience without artificial constraints.
  • Migration consultation — if you have an existing document repository or ECM system, Cirrus's team will advise on migration pathways and data import options to help you plan a realistic transition.
