⚠ Critical Notice — Read Before Applying

The TWAIN Innovation Cloud is exclusively a developer and innovation sandbox environment — NOT a production service. No SLA, uptime guarantee, data retention commitment, or warranty of any kind is provided by TWAIN Working Group or any partner or sponsor.

The Most Important Things to Know

We've distilled the full Terms & Conditions into the key points every applicant must understand before participating. This is a plain-language summary — the full legal Terms & Conditions are the binding document.

🧪
Developer Sandbox Only
TIC is a lab environment for experimentation, testing, and innovation. It is not a production platform. Do not rely on it for customer-facing systems, business operations, or regulated data.
🚫
No Production Use — Ever
Deploying TIC integrations in any live, customer-facing, or commercially supported environment is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these terms, resulting in immediate access revocation.
⚖️
Zero Liability — All Parties
TWAIN WG, all partners, and all sponsors disclaim all warranties and accept no liability for data loss, downtime, integration failures, or any damages arising from TIC use. Maximum aggregate liability is $0.
🎁
Sponsor Offers Are Third-Party
Special offers from sponsors (Epson, HP, Canon, etc.) are provided solely by those companies. TWAIN WG is not a party to those offers and makes no guarantees about their terms, availability, pricing, or fulfillment.
🔒
No Regulated Data
Do not introduce PII, PHI, student records (FERPA), payment data (PCI), or any other regulated or sensitive data into TIC. The environment is not compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA, or any data protection regulation.
🤝
Partners Are Independent
Each partner and sponsor is an independent organization. Participation in TIC does not create any commercial relationship, support obligation, or warranty from any partner toward any other participant.
