These are the only production-class network scanners on the market with TWAIN and ISIS® drivers built-in as standard, making them the natural hardware partner for every application built on the TIC platform.

The DS-800WN and DS-900WN introduce EdgeLink™ technology — Epson's open SDK that allows third-party software developers to embed their applications directly into the scanner's touchscreen. A document management system, a TWAIN Direct workflow, a compliance capture application — all accessible with a single button press on the scanner, with no computer required. This is the native hardware integration layer that TIC developers have been building toward.

All three models support ScanWay PC-free scanning — scan to USB, network folder, email, or popular cloud services (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Evernote) without installing any software. For centralised deployments, optional Epson fleet management tools provide Active Directory authentication, centralised administration, and per-user usage reporting across an entire scanner fleet.

Every DS-790WN, DS-800WN, and DS-900WN ships with TWAIN and ISIS® drivers included as standard — not an add-on, not a paid upgrade. Your TWAIN Direct applications, PSI-Capture, GROOPER, DocuWare, or any ISIS-compatible capture platform connects immediately, with zero driver configuration. These are the only production network scanners certifiably compatible with the full TIC software ecosystem out of the box.

EdgeLink™ — The Open SDK for Scanner Integration
The DS-800WN and DS-900WN introduce EdgeLink — Epson's open integration SDK enabling third-party software companies to embed their applications directly in the scanner touchscreen. TIC participants building document management applications, AI capture pipelines, or TWAIN Direct workflows can integrate with EdgeLink scanners today. All three models deliver the same high speed in colour, grayscale, and B&W at up to 300 dpi — no speed penalty for colour scanning.
7,000–11,000 Sheet Daily Duty
Built for departmental to workgroup volumes. The DS-900WN's 11,000-sheet daily rating handles the most demanding production environments.
100-Page ADF
High-capacity auto document feeder reduces reload interruptions. The DS-900WN adds a paper alignment plate for orderly scanning of large batches.
Extra-Long Document Support
Scans documents from business card size (2" × 2") to banners up to 240" long. Handles rigid plastic ID cards and business cards in all models.
